Traditional rental agencies run on branch networks. Every vehicle belongs to a specific lot, and a car that ends up in the wrong city has to be repositioned at the company’s expense. What a One-Way Rental Costs

The one-way charge starts from $139 and is added to your daily rate. Miami to Fort Lauderdale, for example, is from $139. Longer routes cost more, because the charge reflects one thing above all: the drive our team makes to bring the vehicle home.

Three factors set the final number:

• Distance. A recovery run from Fort Lauderdale takes under an hour. One from Key West or Tampa takes most of a day.
• The vehicle. A Lamborghini Aventador travels back on an enclosed transport. A Jeep Wrangler is driven.
• Timing. If we already have a delivery scheduled near your drop-off city, recovery costs us less and we pass that on. Booking ahead gives us room to route efficiently.

On certain longer bookings we may reduce or absorb the one-way fee entirely. Our goal is never to mark it up — it exists to recover the actual cost of retrieving the vehicle from your drop-off city, nothing more.

Either way, the figure appears as a line item on your quote before you reserve.

Route 1: Miami to Key West — The Overseas Highway

This is the drive people build entire trips around. US-1 leaves the mainland at Florida City and spends the next three hours crossing open water, including the Seven Mile Bridge. There is no better stretch of road in the country for a convertible.

The one-way logic here is straightforward: almost nobody wants to spend their last morning driving four hours back up the Keys. We deliver at your Miami hotel or at Miami International (MIA), and collect from your Key West resort or the Key West International (EYW) departure curb.

Best picks: the Porsche 911 Carrera Convertible is the classic version of this drive. The Corvette C8 Convertible is the best value at $399/day. For something completely different, the Jeep Wrangler Sahara with the doors removed turns the Seven Mile Bridge into an open-air experience nothing else matches.

Route 2: Miami to Orlando — The Turnpike Corridor

Three Things to Sort Out Before You Book — With Any Company

• Get the one-way figure in writing upfront. It should be a line item on your quote alongside the daily rate, not something that appears at the end. Ask for both numbers together.
• Confirm the mileage allowance. Cross-state routes consume distance quickly — Miami to Key West and back is 320 miles before you’ve driven anywhere else. Ask what’s included and what extra miles cost.
