The Miami World Cup 2026 — Seven Matches, Five Sellouts

Between June 15 and July 18, 2026, Hard Rock Stadium hosted seven World Cup matches and roughly 449,000 spectators. Five of those seven sold out completely. It was the busiest stretch Miami has had for a single event, and for a month the city ran on football.

The tournament is over — Spain beat Argentina 1–0 in the final on July 19 — but the week-by-week reality of moving people around Miami during an event of that size is worth recording. Below is what Miami actually hosted, and what the next run of major Miami event weeks looks like.

What Miami Hosted — Every Match at Hard Rock Stadium

  • June 15 — Saudi Arabia 1–1 Uruguay · 62,764
  • June 21 — Uruguay 2–2 Cape Verde · 64,003
  • June 24 — Scotland 0–3 Brazil · 64,478 — a full house
  • June 27 — Colombia 0–0 Portugal · 64,478 — a full house
  • July 3 — Argentina 3–2 Cape Verde (after extra time), Round of 32 · 64,478
  • July 11 — Norway 1–2 England (after extra time), Quarterfinal · 64,478
  • July 18 — France 4–6 England, Third-place match · 64,478

That last one deserves its own line. Ten goals in a third-place match, in Miami, in July. Nobody who was in the stadium is going to forget it.

Five consecutive sellouts at 64,478 closed out the run — every match from June 24 onward filled the stadium. That meant five of the seven nights ended with a full house emptying onto the roads around Miami Gardens at once.

What We Did During the Tournament

We delivered through the whole run — clients flying in to watch their nation play, and FIFA representatives from several of the competing countries, including England, Argentina, Saudi Arabia and Norway.

Look back at the fixture list and that lines up exactly. All four of those nations played at Hard Rock Stadium. England played there twice — the quarterfinal against Norway on July 11, then the third-place match against France on July 18. Argentina played the Round of 32 on July 3. Saudi Arabia opened Miami’s tournament on June 15 against Uruguay.

Delegation work is not a holiday rental. Schedules move, arrival times change, briefings run long, and the vehicle has to be where it is needed without a phone call about it. That is a week that only works if the company delivering has no counter to visit, no queue to join, and no closing time — which is the entire reason we built the business around delivery rather than a lot.

What an Event That Size Does to Getting Around Miami

A sold-out Hard Rock Stadium is 64,478 people arriving within a two-hour window and leaving within about forty minutes. Seven times in five weeks, in a city where the stadium sits in Miami Gardens and most visitors stay on Miami Beach or in Brickell — thirty to forty minutes away without traffic, and considerably more with it.

What that meant in practice during the tournament:

  • Rideshare surge pricing around match kick-off and full time, in both directions
  • Long waits for pickups in the stadium area after the final whistle
  • Hotel-to-stadium journeys that had to be planned hours ahead rather than ordered on the night
  • Groups splitting across multiple cars because nothing bigger was available at short notice

Clients who had a vehicle for the week did none of that. The car was at the hotel, it left when they wanted to leave, and it held everyone who came together.

Our Club World Cup Experience — Real Madrid and Inter Milan

Before the World Cup came to Hard Rock Stadium, we had already worked a tournament at the same venue. During the Club World Cup we delivered for clients attending Real Madrid and Inter Milan fixtures — the same stadium, the same traffic patterns, the same question of how a group of six gets from a Miami Beach hotel to Miami Gardens and back without the evening turning into logistics.

That experience is the reason we know the answer to the question most visitors ask too late: book the vehicle before you book the match tickets, not after.

Miami’s Next Major Event Weeks

The World Cup will not be back — the 2030 tournament is in Spain, Portugal and Morocco. But Miami’s event calendar does not slow down, and the same logistics apply every time.

  • Art Basel Miami Beach — December 4 to 6, 2026, at the Miami Beach Convention Center, with VIP preview days December 2 and 3. More than twenty fairs spread across Miami Beach, Wynwood, Edgewater and Coconut Grove. Our Art Basel Miami car rental and chauffeur guide maps all of them.
  • Miami International Boat Show — every February, Miami Beach Convention Center
  • Miami Open — late March into early April, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. Same venue, same journey, two weeks of it.
  • Formula 1 Hard Rock Miami Grand Prix — practice April 30, qualifying May 1, race May 2, 2027. Also at Hard Rock Stadium.
  • Miami Swim Week — every May, Collins Avenue and Miami Beach
  • New Year’s Eve — the busiest single night of the year across Miami Beach and Brickell

Two of those six are at Hard Rock Stadium. If you are coming for the Miami Open or the Grand Prix, the drive is the one the World Cup made famous.

What We Learned, and What We Tell Clients Now

  • Book 6 to 8 weeks ahead for a major event week. Specific vehicles stop being available well before the dates, and for an event on the scale of a World Cup match or Grand Prix weekend, the larger SUVs go first.
  • Size the car to the group, not the occasion. Six people in a four-seat supercar is two cars and two sets of parking. A Cadillac Escalade ESV holds seven and all their things.
  • Have it delivered to the hotel. Event weeks are exactly when a rental counter is at its worst, and exactly when you least want to go to one.
  • Tell us the venue, not just the dates. A week at Hard Rock Stadium and a week on Miami Beach are different problems.

The Cars That Worked Best for Stadium Weeks

Cadillac Escalade ESV — From $499/day

The most requested vehicle for any Hard Rock Stadium event. Seven seats and 41.5 cubic feet behind the third row, which keeps a group of six or seven together in one car rather than coordinating three.

Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG — From $695/day

Four or five passengers with presence. The default for clients who want the arrival to register as much as the match.

Lamborghini Urus — From $1,199/day

Supercar performance that still holds four and their luggage, and comfortable on a repeated forty-minute run from the Beach to Miami Gardens.

Range Rover HSE — From $695/day

Five passengers in the quietest cabin at this price, which matters on the drive back at midnight after a sold-out stadium empties.

Rolls-Royce Cullinan — From $1,495/day

For corporate delegations and hospitality guests. Five passengers, full luggage, and the arrival that suits a suite rather than a seat.

Frequently Asked Questions — Miami World Cup 2026

How many World Cup matches did Miami host in 2026?

Seven, at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, between June 15 and July 18, 2026. Four group-stage matches, a Round of 32 match, a quarterfinal, and the third-place match. Total attendance across the seven was roughly 449,000.

What was the biggest World Cup match in Miami?

By scoreline, the third-place match on July 18 — France 4, England 6. Ten goals in front of a sold-out 64,478. By stakes, the quarterfinal on July 11, when England beat Norway 2–1 after extra time, also at full capacity.

Did Miami host the 2026 World Cup final?

No. Miami hosted the third-place match on July 18. The final was played on July 19, where Spain beat Argentina 1–0 to win their second World Cup.

Will the World Cup come back to Miami?

Not soon. The 2030 tournament is being hosted by Spain, Portugal and Morocco. Miami’s major recurring events are Art Basel in December, the Miami International Boat Show in February, the Miami Open in late March, the Formula 1 Hard Rock Miami Grand Prix in early May, and Miami Swim Week in May.

Did you work with World Cup delegations in Miami?

Yes. Alongside clients flying in for matches, we worked with FIFA representatives from several competing nations, including England, Argentina, Saudi Arabia and Norway — all four of which played at Hard Rock Stadium. England played there twice, in the quarterfinal and the third-place match.

How far in advance should I book a car for a Miami event week?

Sooner is always better — we recommend contacting us the minute your plans are set. For major event weeks like Art Basel, the Formula 1 Hard Rock Miami Grand Prix, the Miami Open or Swim Week, book 6 to 8 weeks ahead. For a regular weekend or weekday rental, 2 to 3 weeks is usually enough. And if you are calling last minute — call anyway. We make it happen, and we have delivered a car within 60 minutes of the first message.

What is the best car for a Hard Rock Stadium event?

An SUV, for almost everyone. The Cadillac Escalade ESV is the most requested — seven seats and 41.5 cubic feet behind the third row keeps a group together in one vehicle. For smaller groups the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG and Lamborghini Urus are the two we deliver most for stadium events.

How far is Hard Rock Stadium from Miami Beach?

Roughly thirty to forty minutes without traffic, and materially longer around a sold-out event. Hard Rock Stadium is in Miami Gardens, northwest of the city, while most visitors stay on Miami Beach or in Brickell. That gap is the whole reason event-week transport needs planning rather than improvising.

Do you deliver to Hard Rock Stadium events?

We deliver to your hotel or residence rather than the stadium itself, which is what you want — the car is with you before and after, and you are not depending on a pickup in stadium traffic. We delivered throughout the 2026 World Cup at Hard Rock Stadium, for visiting fans and for FIFA representatives from England, Argentina, Saudi Arabia and Norway, and before that through the Club World Cup including Real Madrid and Inter Milan fixtures.
